Treatment Day Guide

What to expect on the day of your at-home ketamine treatment — from setup through recovery, so you feel prepared and supported.

Knowing what to expect on treatment day helps you feel calm and prepared. Here's a general timeline of how the day typically unfolds. Your specific experience may vary based on your personalized treatment plan.

Before You Begin

Final Setup

Confirm your space is ready, your support person is present, and you have everything within reach. Follow any last instructions from your provider.

During Treatment

The Experience

You may feel relaxation, mild dissociation, or altered sensory perception. These effects are temporary. Remain in your comfortable position and let the experience unfold naturally.

Immediately After

Rest and Reorient

Take your time. Don't rush to get up. Rest quietly until you feel fully back to your normal state of awareness. Your support person can help you with water or comfort items.

Later That Day

Gentle Recovery

Plan to rest for the remainder of the day. Avoid driving, working, or making important decisions. Light meals and hydration are generally helpful.

  • Socks or slippers for comfort
  • Remove any restrictive jewelry or accessories
